Hull PhD student becomes full professor

Alvisa Palese, a PhD student in the Faculty of Health and Social Care has been recognized as possessing the full scientific maturity for the license to become a full professor in Italy

The process for becoming a full professor in Italy is on the basis of a national assessment. Alvisa, who is an Associate Professor at Udine University has an international reputation for her work in nursing workforce and trans-European studies.  Alvisa was one of six nurses who have just obtained the licensure out of around 14 applicants. Her CV lists 340 publications (including conference proceedings), the first of which was in 1994, as well as various international activities and awards.
