Julie MacDonald has been asked to deliver two workshops one for staff and one for patients at the  Fourth National Cancer and Palliative Care conference Contemporary Care : New Challenges New Solutions 23-24 June 2016 Village Hotel, Hull on pets and well­-being in health. (She has invited Paul Bush and his guide dog “Vargo” and he has kindly agree to come along to participate in the workshop for patients to explain to patients’ the benefits he gains from his guide dog.  Paul  chairs  the Faculty of Health and Social Care patient user group forum. Jule have also been asked to present the poster Companion animals and well-being in palliative care (Macdonald &Barrett 2015) which was presented at the Asia Pacific Conference Transforming Palliative Care April 30th May 03 2015 Taipei, Taiwan.
